On May 5, 2010 The Netherlands will enjoy and celebrate 65 years of
liberation.
We are pleased to announce that Verstraete Travel is again the official

participate in a program consisting of memorial events and celebration
festivities. A special welcome is extended to veterans and travel

Opening of the Information Centre at Holten Cemetery

and commemorate the 65th anniversary of Holland’s Liberation. We offer a
wonderful tour program with your choice of host family stay or hotel

Tour Escorts: Lt.Col. McVeety and John Hetherington
This tour will follow the historic route of the Algonquin Regiment
traveling through France, Belgium and Holland. It will visit important
sites, such as the Normandy Beaches, Dieppe, Beaumont Hamel, Vimy,
Ypres, Nijmegen and Arnhem. There will be a service at the Holten
Canadian War Cemetery and a special liberation ceremony in Wierden on
April 9.
